Artec Twins 27: System Requirements

This article will assist you in selecting the optimal hardware for your 3D scanning and post-processing needs for Artec Twins 27.

Please note that where the system requirements of a scanner differs from the system requirements of Artec Studio, the 'higher' requirement always wins.

 

OS

Supported OS: Windows 11

MacOS is not supported

Virtual Environments are not supported
 

Graphics/video

cards

(!) NVidia GPU only
Minimal: NVidia GPU Turing architecture or newer(CUDA Compute Capability >= 7.5), GPU memory >= 6 GB

Recommended: NVidia GPU Turing architecture or newer(CUDA Compute Capability >= 7.5), GPU memory >= 24 GB

To use AI features, including AI Photogrammetry, the NVIDIA driver version must be 576.52 or newer.

CPU

Minimal: Intel Core i7 (8+ cores, 7xxx and later)
 

Recommended: Intel Core i9 (12xxx and later)

AMD Ryzen, Threadripper, and Intel Xeon CPUs not supported by Artec Spider II

RAM

Minimal: 32 GB
 

Recommended: 128GB

 

min. 64 GB for Artec Spider II

USB

Artec Eva, Artec Eva Lite, Artec Spider and Artec Space Spider: 1 x USB 2.0 port (type A).
(USB 3.0 and 3.1 compatibility information)

Artec Micro I  & Artec Micro II: 1x USB 3.0 or 3.1 port (type A)
The Artec Micro will not work with a USB 2.0 port

Artec Ray I: 1x USB 2.0, 3.0, or 3.1 port (type A)

Artec Spider II: Thunderbolt 4/ 5

Important note: USB 3.1/3.2 compatibility is not guaranteed, please use Artec USB Kit

 

Not supported:

  • OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS, any 32-bit OS

  • Virtual Environments (Windows OS installed inside a Virtual Machine)
     

  • CPUs: Intel Core i7 8550U, Intel Core i5 8350U, Intel Core i7-1065G7 with integrated GPU

(!) If the graphics card does not meet the minimum requirements (or an outdated graphics driver is installed), the HD reconstruction and AI algorithms will fail.

To use AI features, including AI Photogrammetry, the NVIDIA driver version must be 576.52 or newer.
