(!) This article is being updated. If you've seen a fraudulent site purporting to sell Artec 3D scanners, please send us an email at support@artec3d.com
We have received several requests from customers who purchased Artec3D scanners on websites offering them at very low prices. These customers never received their orders.
Some typical signs for recognizing a scam website pretending to be a legitimate online seller:
- It uses an address that has no verification or no company name linked on Google/Bing maps.
- It accepts only wire transfers or payment via Western Union or a similar system.
- They claim you can pay by credit card & PayPal, but with some extra conditions that do not apply to your purchase. For example, “only for returning customers” or extra delays or additional 5+% commission.
Below is a list of companies/sites that we consider very likely to be fraudulent. We have no contractual relationships with them, and, therefore, they are not authorized to sell and promote our products. We have also contacted the website owners and have not received any response from them:

https://toolsequipmentssupply.com/
https://azelectronicsequipmentetc.com/
https://linesurveying.en.ec21.com/

We strongly recommend purchasing Artec 3D scanners and software only from authorized Artec 3D resellers, since we bear no responsibility for products bought via unofficial channels.
If you are willing to accept the risk and are considering buying a very low-priced and/or used scanner, please review this article.
